Moinho Dom Quixote, Portugal

The restaurant is situated 2.5 km south of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point on the European mainland and can be easily recognized because of the very large moinho (windmill).

It’s mainly a restaurant serving Mexican dishes, very colourfully designed, serving salads, burgers, fish but also great cocktails. Although the food is delicious, most of their clients visit because of the stunning view over the coast and because of their big garden with cosy tables, tremendous statues and many plants.

Moinho Dom Quixote is obviously a place to stop by, if you plan to visit Cabo da Roca. It’s open daily until 2 a.m. but keep in mind to take cash with you because they do not accept credit cards and prepare to relax like you have done so rarely in the past months, because they do not offer wi-fi. My recommendation is to choose a sunny day for visiting, so you’ll get the most of the view!
